Light & Power is one of the ministries that makes Trinity Church both unique and missional. The Bible is replete with passages about including in the local body those that have been devalued and who live in poverty. These include individuals who have disabilities. Light & Power includes those that are affected by disability, and they enjoy powerful worship, engaging lessons, genuine friendships, and fantastic social events throughout the year. Advent conspiracy monies are used to assist with basic needs at times when social security checks don’t cover monthly expenses, pay for social events, provide Christmas and birthday gifts, allow for breakfast on Sunday mornings, and fund scholarships for individuals to be involved in other church events. Light & Power averages between 60 and 70 members on Sundays, and last spring we hosted over 350 from the larger disabled community at our 8th annual prom.
